Now you can use your treasure map for the first time, isn't that great?! I spent the whole day in
Sauzon, a little seaport. The town is round about 11 kilometers away from our home.
Sauzon has a few
brasseries and
bistros, and what I really liked: it has a really beautiful church.
Sauzon is (as many little towns on
Belle ile are) really picturesque and has some special peaceful aura around itself. The people all over
Belle ile en mer are very special. The majority has that funny kind of smile that makes you feels they hide a secret from you, a really beautiful secret. The
Bretons are very nice and friendly, they are open. And by the way they can laugh about my funny french with me. They had won me over since the first time they smiled at me.
Well, of course I had my camera with me and took some shots of this cute seaport
Sauzon.
The trip down to Sauzon was really demanding, so after taking a walk at the quai, we sat down outside a brasserie called "Les embruns". We took a break there for an hour, eating galettes and drinking some demi-sec cidre.
The
cidre we drank was really dry, but with the light taste of apples it was just delicious. The waitress had fun with speaking french with me, she was really motivating and patient. Again a really nice example for the kindness of the
Bretons.
I spent a wonderful day in
Sauzon, enjoying the typical french food, riding my bike as if it was ME participating in the
Tour de France (which by the way is occuring right now all over France), I sunbathed a lot and after my evening run I fell into bed, just to write this down before I go to sleep. Well, my dear friends, it's time for some recovery for tomorrow.
See you tomorrow (and don't be too jealous about me),
xoxo, wanderlust
